What you can do on a date night all depends on how comfortable you are with a girl, how far the relationship has progressed with her, and what common interests you two have.

Generally, to make a good date night, you have to select an activity which you both will enjoy, otherwise the date wont go as well. If you are asking a girl out, start with something low key, as a dinner date with a movie after would seem very scary and would make her nervous.

However, if you have been going out for a while, than a dinner date with a movie afterward wont make her nervous, as he is used to your presence in a romantic manner.

So to summarise, make sure you tailor your date night to suit both of your individual tastes, and make sure that it suits the stage of your relationship.
