You need some exercise, even if it is walking, in order to keep your system in good shape. When you walk, your muscles build up in your legs, and your internal organs can get moved and that makes them work better. You need to eat a diet which includes fruit, vegetables, dairy, healthy nuts such as raw (uncooked, unsalted) almonds, walnuts and pine nuts. You need a good dietary source such as lean chicken breast, some lean red meat, boiled or poached eggs, etc.

Most women are lacking in folic acid and you may want to look for a natural food source or take a multivitamin daily. It is good to take a calcium supplement of about 1200 mg to 1600 mg daily with at least 400 I.U. of vitamin D, which helps your body absorb the calcium.

Fibre is very important for helping your bowels work as they should, but you also NEED to drink from 8 to 10 full glasses (about 8 ounces each) in order for the body to process the fiber and other nutrients which you need to stay healthy.

One of the most important (I think that it is MOST important) things you need in order to live a healthy life is the ability to handle stress and traumatic events in your life. You need to not allow yourself to get angry about things that you may be able to change. If a kid is crying and it irritates you, and you are trapped with him/her, on a bus, for example, try to make him become distracted by doing something that a small child would not expect...make faces at him/her. Use ever occasion to try to find a positive way to turn things around.

If someone you work with is being mean to you the best way to handle them is by being extra kind. You feel better than if you got angry and you may make them stop their unwanted behaviour. Being angry over small things is a very unhealthy thing for your body to go through.

One of the best ways to make yourself, and others, feel good is helping someone else. Volunteer, smile a lot, tell people, like cashiers and such jokes to make them feel good. Give sincere compliments.

A positive attitude is extremely important. After you suffer a traumatic event, deal with it immediately. Seek counselling, write things down and tell people what has happened. Bottling it up is like covering over an infection with a bandage and expecting it to go away.

If someone says or does something that hurts you or make you feel bad, tell them right away. Let them know how they made you feel. Do not let these negative feelings fester as that just makes things worse.

Learn to be yourself. Act with kindness and don't be afraid of what strangers will think of you. Learn to laugh about yourself. Look for funny things to watch and my favorite is to pet and interact with my cat.

I never really understood what love was until I had a cat. Holding or stroking a cat and it's purr has been proven to help heal bones and muscles.

Wear your seatbelt and do not drive tired or after you have been drinking. Do not walk or ride a bicycle at night without wearing something like a white color to make yourself seen by motorists. (I have a mirror, bell, headlight, taillight and turn signals on my bike.)

Never let someone force you into a vehicle. Scream, run, fight, do whatever you have to do to get help or escape. If you are forced into a vehicle, try to crash the car. Doing these things may get you injured, but not doing them could get you killed.

Always be aware of what and who is around you. Never walk with your head down. Swing your arms as you walk. This makes you look less like a victim.

As hard as this advice may be to accept, do not stay in an abusive relationship. Do not tell the other one that you are going to leave them. Doing this could get you killed. There is much more ways to escape now than what there used to be. Get help.

Well, I would suggest you put down that Happy Meal down right away. Now, first, live on a diet of water and fruits/vegetables. Next, exercise a lot. Ignore your fat peers that don't think exercise works. It does. Start by touching your toes and running past the nearest McDonald's. This will help train you. It'll make you fight the will of wanting fast food and unhealthy stuff. Go run to the nearest KFC. Then the nearest Wendy's, and whatever else there is.
