- You can't make anyone do what they do not want to do. Some students just want to have fun and are not wise enough to realize unless they do study they may well not graduate and that is when the reality of what they have done strikes home. It appears you study so you could have your friend come over to study with you and turn off the TV or anything else that may take their attention span away from their studies. Tell them if they seriously study with you then you both can go somewhere your friend likes (putting a carrot in front of their nose to try and get them to study.) If they are joking around and refuse to study let them know bluntly that you are serious about your studies because you want to graduate and if they can't join you in studying then you do not want them around.
