* One never knows if the person is serious or not about saying they would die without you. He could just be stating how he feels, but there is the possibility that he could possibly try to end his life. You would be wise to speak to his mother before you break up with her son and tell her what he has said to you and that you are concerned, but have your own life to lead. This way his mother is made aware and it would be her responsibility to deal with her son when you do break up with him and get counseling for him should he need it.
