The 60GB PS3 is the same as the other versions other than that it has backwards compatibility, meaning that it can play PSone and PlayStation 2 games. The 60GB was the first version to come out - the more recent 40GB, 80GB and 160GB versions do not have backwards compatibility.

Some 80 GB PS3 had only 2 USB ports and some 60 GB PS3 were hardware based PS2 emulation and others were partially software based emulation.
