I had my surgery over a week ago. The first few days the pain is off and on but not to bad. I am in a half cast to stop the arm from flexing straight. The bruising hurts more for me than the incision. I have 12 staples and a few stitches that get removed 12 days after the surgery. This was my first surgery so I did not know what to expect. Over all, besides me having issues sleeping, the recovery could have been worse. If you are working, expect to miss at least 2 weeks. I did not plan on that and returned to work the week after surgery and I regret every day I had to go in. Besides being tired, with having the half cast on, it's even hard to use a computer, let alone a mouse. (was my right arm, I'm right handed). The itching that comes with wearing any arm bandage for a length of time is present and once in a while I do get pains in the arm, but my doctor said its from the nerve be uncompressed now. Some feeling has started to return to the 2 finger that were numb, sometimes pain also, but I was told that is normal.
Hope this helps, good luck!

Cubital tunnel syndrome is the result ofpressure being put on the ulnar nerve beside one of the bones of the elbow. This pressure can be caused by inflammation or as a result of tissue build up on the bone and surrounding area as a result of arthritis. It may be necessary for you to get the thing scanned and get expert medical opinion on it as it may very well need surgery to fix it.
