In some states, you may take everything that isn't attached [fixtures are attached -- like the furnace and water heater].

in other states, you may NOT take anything that was included in your original purchase -- which might include the 'fridge, washer, dryer, stove, or might not. [and then there's the issue of an allowance you got from the prior seller to go and buy a new 'fridge -- if the funds were in the settlement report, it probably was "included" in those states that follow this method.]
