Egypt has a very interesting history to it. in fact, Egypt was home to the youngest ruler in history. King Tut. and also, Egypt was home to the most powerful woman in history. a woman named Hatshepsut (and yes that is her name). a female ruler who named herself king.Hatshepsut was married to the Pharaoh Thutmose II, her half brother. He died young leaving the throne to Thutmose III, his son by another woman. Because Thutmose III was still very young, Hatshepsut took over power. Many did not think that women should rule, but Hatshepsut dressed as a man and called herself king. After she died, her stepson (Thutmose III) took back power and vandalized all of the monuments she had built.
Another famous Ruler was Nefertiti, she was also a great ruler who was a female. After she died, Tomb robbers broke into her tomb and took all of the jewels and gems, but they did something else that was a MAJOR sign of hatred. they bashed in the mouth of the mummy, the reason is, is that when you go into the "afterlife" you need to be able to speak your name to the "gods" . but she couldn't do that with her mummy's mouth bashed in. egypt is a great place to visit.
