Company was incorporated 1901 in Wheeling and and went out of business after some name changes and moves in 1910.
it would depend on condition avg. could be 2000.00
Not familiar with Hollinbeck, but, I have heard of Hollenbeck. What gauge? Barrel length? Finish? Any engraving?. Prices can run from 75 to 1500 and usually are in the 200 range.
18" for shotguns
No. Not in Virginia anyway.
This must be a rare bird. A few dreilings were made in the US by the Hollenbeck Gun Company (1905-1910) in Wheeling WV. Almost all the rest are from Germany. I have never heard of one being sold by Sears with the JC Higgins name. If you can post all the markings on the gun, including those under the barrels and those on the part of the receiver that are covered unless the barrels are removed, and a link to some photos, I might be able to help you ID it better.
If you are a resident of Virginia, and not prohibited from owning a gun, you may buy a gun from any other resident of Virginia. This applies in MOST states. If you are not a resident of Virginia, then you may buy a rifle or shotgun from a Virginia dealer, but not a private citizen. This is addressed in Federal law- US Code 18.922
yes turkeys may only be harvested with a bow or shotgun
18 for any Title 1 weapon, 21 for any NFA Title II weapon (short barreled shotguns, full auto weapons, any shotgun classed as a destructive device, etc).
No one knows anything about your gun until you tell us a little more about it. Rifle, pistol, revolver, shotgun? Any names marked on it?
A pump or auto suppose to be plugged so no more than 2 shells in magazine and 1 in chamber
Priceless, If it was your great granddads. I have one circa 1910 it is an oak leaf brand. I think it is a W M Enders made by union arms. It is not demascus steel so it is safe to shoot. I reblued mine in 2006 during a round with the flu, took about 2 weeks to complete. I left the original stocks. It appraised for around $150.00.
You should be able to find a list of gun shops in your area that may have a Browning shotgun of this make.If you do not,I would go to gun broker.com.I believe that they will list a few of this model from time to time.
