Strictly speaking no one has a natural right to harm other living things without their permission. However in reality would you kill an animal in order to save a member of your family or yourself from illness's? and for that mater do you check to see if the drugs you are taking were tested by animals. The harsh reality is that humans are the top of the pile and for them to stay that way they need to do it the way they are doing it.

That's a really good question. Some people still use animals even though it's illegal, but some people probably conduct tests on humans. The person either volunteers or they force the person.

Drugs can be tested on human volunteers, it has been suggested that "computer simulation" can be used to predict the effect of drugs.

What is the difference between a lab drug test and home drug test?

One is done at home and the other is done in a lab. It really depends upon the lab! Some labs actually use the same tests that are often sold for home use. Sometimes labs will perform a "rapid test" and them only do GCMS or LCMS confirmations. For more information about labs or rapid tests, see drugs-information-home-page.com They have lots of information about drugs, drug testing, labs, home drug tests, etc.

Some drug tests are almost instant. Tests for residue on skin for marijuana, cocaine, meth, and several other drugs can be done in real time. Results for drug tests that employers specify can usually be completed in a day. Results for criminal drug tests can take much longer. Toxicology done by the coroner, where so many drug abusers wind up, usually takes 2 or 3 weeks.
