Well, I have had mine done for almost a year noww. It does not matter at all what you eat. food has nothing to do with it.

You need to have a bar or ring in the piercing else it will heal up because a piercing is just like a wound. if theres a bar or ring there then it will heal but around the ring or bar, so you still have the piercing. You don't need a ring, you can have a belly button bar. x

You can take the piercing out, and just let your belly button heal over.
Does a belly button piercing hurt more then a lip piercing?
I have both my lip and belly button pierced. I had my belly button pierced with a hoop and my lip pierced with a bar/stud. The belly button was more irritating then the lip because a hoop piercing requires the piercer to clamp it shut and fiddle around with a new pierced part instead of just screwing a ball on. I recommend any new piercings to be with a bar/stud as it is quicker and less irritating. Put it this way, I'm going for a 2nd lip piercing and not another belly button piercing ;)

You could but it's not a good idea. When your belly button shrinks back down to size the piercing could be uneven. It's best just to wait until you have your baby.

of course you can. just make sure and wash your piercing with saline solution afterwords source : I have had my belly button peirced twice and i have had my last on for almost a year

I will say yes because i have both now you have alot of nerves in both belly button and lip but the lip is much more fragile than the belly button any thing that pokes into it could hurt Alot worse than a belly button percisng^ It Actually Doesn't Hurt More Than Your Belly Button, I Have Both Done, And I'm Terrified Of Needles. Your Lip Just Feels A Bit Weirder, But Doesn't Hurt. :)
