If you have the 6.0 or 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel engine, 15 qts with filter change. If you have the 6.8 V-10 Triton, 7 qts with filter change. The 5.4 Triton, 7 qts with filter change.

With engine oil filter change :

All sizes of GASOLINE engines take ( 6.0 U.S. quarts )

Put 6 qts in with filter change, run the engine, shut it down and wait a minute, check the dipstick. The book says 6 qts. The dipsticks says different. Don't know which one to go by.
