You Have a labial frenectomy during the period of wearing braces

There is lots of advice one should know about when getting braces. Perhaps the best place to find out what one should know is by talking to one's dentist. Some general advice with braces is to avoid any food that is sticky, chewy, or hard. One should expect sore teeth for several days after getting braces and having teeth loosen while wearing the braces is normal and expected and they should regain their rigidity again later.
You should get silver braces :)
The length of time braces need to be worn depends on the condition of the teeth of the wearer. In most cases, braces are worn for well over a year, but wearing them longer than five years is rare.
The braces do not rot the teeth, but poor oral hygiene while wearing braces has often led to significant tooth decay while an individual was fitted with them. The areas around the braces are especially prone to trapping food and encouraging decay if not cleaned sufficiently. Also because it requires more time and effort to thoroughly clean the teeth when the braces are in place there is an increased tendency to neglect thorough cleaning. When braces are fitted to younger persons (and most people who get braces usually get them as teenagers) there is an additional tendency for the hygiene to be less than sufficient to prevent decay. With proper care, however, no "rotting" should occur when you are wearing braces.
Yes, you can eat Reese's Fastbreak with braces, but you should do so with caution. The chewy and sticky texture can get stuck in your braces, potentially causing damage or discomfort. It’s best to eat it in small pieces and ensure you thoroughly brush your teeth afterward to avoid any buildup around your braces. Always consult your orthodontist for personalized advice regarding treats while wearing braces.
Hard fruits, vege-tables, and breads must be cut into bite-sized pieces before eating.
I'm getting braces today. if its your first time, get pink, blue or silver But if everyone knows you've had braces for a while, get funky and start wearing colours like neon green, redish-orange and purple. (BTW never wear more than two clours at a time cuz it looks......TACKY!)

Your braces should blend with your tie colour or some part of the colour of your tie. As for the shirt just watch you don't have too much of a clash of colours going on. A White shirt is always a safe option and goes with any tie and braces combination. If you are wearing another colour of shirt try and blend in the colour with the braces if possible like Blue shirt would go with braces with blue stripe on them. The best rule is don't force too many different colours together try and blend them all if you can.
