It begins and ends with their inability to train students in how to cut hair. Kids come out of school with poor or nu fundamental understanding on how to cut hair. This is why anecdotally, over 80% of academy graduates are out of the industry in 2 years. They can't survive without skills. The answer? Train kids in precision haircutting which gives them the basics skills needed to cut hair in a week of training.
