100% natural wheat litter (Swheat Scoop is one) work very well if used properly. It containes natural enzymes that control odor. It must be kept 3 to 3½" deep. It clumps well, and is flushable in septic and sewer systems. It is biodegradable, doesn't contribute to the practice of strip-mining, as do some other litters and, unlike most litters, it doesn't contain clay or silica dust, which are thought to be bad for cats. As for litter products that are available scented... keep in mind that cats generally do notlike things with perfumes or scents, due to their ultra-sensitive sense of smell.
