Here I'm assuming you are referring to the poster board that accompanies a science project (not a board of directors!).
The purpose of the board is to have something to refer to while explaining to someone (like a judge) why you got into this project and what you learned.
You should have at minimum:
- A title that is easily read from 10 feet away.
- Hypothesis
- Data
- Conclusions
If you want to put details/description/photos of the steps of the experiment you can, but they are in your written report and I would say they are optional for the board. Plus the equipment itself will be there for you to refer to while explaining the steps. However, if you significantly changed your experiment based on what you learned from earlier experiments, such valuable information should probably be on the board.
The Data should be in graphic form as we are looking for trends, and trends are more easily seen graphically.
The board should be neat and readable as a priority over artistic.

You can get a science fair board at craft stores, office supply stores, or Wal-Mart.

Do nothing
You should include some of your results, how you felt about the results and maybe what you would do differently if you were to do the project again.
the ending on the display board Its also the part where you explain what you learned
pictures of you and the project and don't forget to include your name and your teachers name and the date it was made
It is to acknowledge the people that helped you with your board.
Question/purpose, hypothesis ,in the middle data and graphs and pictures, on the other side results and conclusion.
make sure everything on your board is organized, memorize what is on your board so you don"t have to read off it, stand tall adn dress nice. judges like nice impressions. these are things i did forn my science fair and got 2nd place out of 60 students.
