She maintained her eye for 60 miles inland, then dramatically weakened into an extratropical cyclone. However, the system re-intensified near Tennessee, and moved toward Lake Huron. Jamestown, New York reported wind gusts of up to 100 mph (155 km/h). The name "Audrey" was soon retired and will never be used again to name a hurricane.
