Hum ...
First - the "face" never changes since the moon is tidally locked with one face always facing us.
But it "shape" (new, full, quarter moon, etc.) changes every day because the moon is orbiting the Earth ... thus the relative position of the Earth, moon and sun changes every day ( although it repeats every month (which is why we coll them months).
Cause us to always see the same "face" of the moon. This is called synchronous rotation.
sometimes
yes, the moon phases change every day. as long as the moon keeps orbiting earth, that will happen.
In the long run, it's likely that every large moon either is or will become tidally locked so that one face of the moon will continually face the primary.
because of the sun the moon changes shapes.
Yes. The Moon is a major cause of the nutations of the planet Earth.
the way the sun light hits it during the rotation of the moon
The sun
The Moon.
The Moon.
The moon causes the sea to cycle through tides by tugging the water into sort of an oblong circle and spinning it around the earth. The Sun causes the moon to change "phases" much as it causes the Earth to change days. The moon just turns much slower than the Earth and ends up never actually turning its "face" away from us.
You are probably looking at the moon with a different perspective each night, but the face of the moon doesn't change; Only the lighting of the moon changes.
