gages smell cause its basically dying flesh on your ear so when you take them off.......the smell leaks out.........its really disgusting
pull the bulb out on the gages. light should go off.
check the fusable links that come off the battery and possible off the starter check them with a test light
Smaller tires should not cause the check engine light to come on. Smaller tires will cause the speedometer to be off.
There are pages and pages of things that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked with a scantool. Then the code can be diagnosed and repaired.
are you sure it's check gauges light or could it be check engine soon? Reason I'm asking is because I just recently purchased 2001 firebird, and check gauges light came, it just needed gas. Then it came on again to change oil. So I changed oil and it went off.
There are pages and pages and items that can cause a check engine light. You need to have it checked for codes with a scan tool. After repair light can be shut off with scan tool.
check the plug to trans might of fallen off or broken
pull the black thing off that surrounds the gages then unscrew the screws or bolts then flip it down then you should see the wire pull and replace it
You have to repair the cause of the light coming on in the first place. You will need to have the code read, repair the cause, and then the light can be shut off with the scan tool.
You have to repair the cause of the computer turning the light on. Then you can turn the light off with a scan tool, or with a battery disconnect.
