The gods had a lot to do with the Trojan war. It was 'started' by them- the goddess Eris had a golden apple that said 'To the Fairest' on it, which engaged Aphrodite, Athena, and Hera in a beauty contest. Zeus, not wanting to pick sides, had the help of Paris to select the winner. After being offered many things by the goddesses, he chose the prize of Aphrodite's- the most beautiful girl in the world, Helen. The only problem was, she was already married. This caused the fight between the Greeks and the Trojans over Helen. Throughout the war, the gods influenced many of the heroes and chose sides.
Athena didn't like the Trojans because of a contest between her, Aphrodite, and Hera. Paris, a prince of Troy, had to pick the most beautiful out of the three goddesses and he picked Aphrodite. This caused Athena to hold a grudge against the Trojans.
It was probably caused because the Trojans were fighting over trade, business, relations, and trade routes. it has nothing to do with the judgement of Paris and the stealing of Menelaus's wife, Helen. she was mythological because her father was Zeus's, a god and a mythological creature. hoped this helped!
Helen
Believe it or not, a simple thing like an apple started the Trojan War. And in that apple was inscribed this sentence, "For the most beautiful." Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite were fighting over who the apple was for. So then, Aphrodite asked a Trojan man, Paris, to tell the godesess to which one of them the apple was to, and if he said that the apple was for Aphrodite, she would give him the love of the most beautiful women on Earth, Helen. So Paris chose Aphrodite and got the blessing. Except Aphrodite didn't think of the fact that Helen had a husband. So as Paris took Helen to Troj, her husband started the famous Trojan War to get his wife back but undfortunately, he died in battle. So that you see, was all caused by a apple. **************** The above are correct except that Menelaos, the husband of helen, didn' t die in trojan war. he returned after many many adventures, 18 years later in his homeland, Sparta, with Helen.
The Greeks gave the Trojans the Trojan horse. After the Trojans accepted their gift, the men hiding inside the horse opened the gates to the previously-impregnable Trojan walls. This enabled the rest of the Greek army to enter unimpeded and slaughter the Trojans inside. Receiving the Trojan horse caused the defeat of the Trojan army.
The Trojan War (A war between the Achians all Greeks not just the Spartans) was caused by Paris a Trojan prince kidnapping Helen the wife of Menelaus and the most beautiful woman in Greece and a duaghter of Zeus himself.
