The Titanic hit an Iceberg and it caused a huge amount of damage, it made a very big hole in the side of the ship and that caused loads and loads of water to pour into the ship and take absolutely everything in it's path. In the end the Titanic filled up with so much water and the ship couldn't take the heavy amount of water and the ship sunk and many people drowned but some got away. Hope this helps!
