One dude of Troy wanted to bang a chick in Greece and took her with them on a boat, they where on a party and they took some hits of acid. The king was angry and took his ship and wanted to kill every mother of troy, lsd is good for greek people.
Helen (later Helen of Troy) daughter of Zeus and Leda (a mortal woman) was the most beautiful woman in the world at that time (and judging from the effects of her beauty probably the most beautiful woman ever). Through out her life men have constantly tried to 'win her'. Thesus kidnapped her as a child.
When she came of marriageable age all the Greek heroes of the time competed for her. They resolved the conflict by agreeing to abide by her chose and to defend that chose with their very lives. Helen chose Menelaus the King of Sparta and brother to Agamemnon King of Argos and King of all the Greeks.
Well, everything was fine for a while but then Helen fell in love with Paris a prince of Troy and ran off with him. The city of Troy received them and gave them refuse. Menelaus wasn't willing to give up on his wife and appealed to his brother Agamemnon to help him retrieve her. Agamemnon reminded of his oath (and seeing lucrative possibilities in war with Troy) reminded the rest of the Greek nobility of their oaths and gathered a large army ( a thousand ships).
That's the beginning of it -- it gets complicated from there.
The Trojan war was started because the trojans stole Helena from the Greeks
Greece just wanted to occupy more land and because troys land is rich they wanted it so they waged war against troy
Because a price of Troy, Paris, stole Helen, the wife of Greek king, Agamemnon. Agamemnon then called for help from the other Greek kings and led them to Troy.
