there is a few things that could be wrong, its very possible that the timing chain is shot or the crank positioning sensor is bad
Hard to do , didn't Corsicas only start in 88??
I have a 88 corsica with a 90 cavalier engine in it.
On the back of the trans. There should be a vacuum line running to it.
Either the fuel is being dumped in too strong or too little, as a guess.
Will it start right back up? more info is needed.
Need to service transmission filter.
Usually right next to the fuse box...it's the big round silver one.
Sometimes you have to cut the dash hole bigger. I suggest you take it to aomeone willing to tackle it.
stoke it to 3.1L; bore it out to 3.4L;http://www.engine-parts.com/GMV6/gm2834stkr.html
Lack of transmission fluid.
there isn't a distributor on this model there are coil pacts. i would start checking things like ; fuel filter, fuel injector, vaccum leak, spark plugs, and EGR valve, couyld also be timing gear, leaking head gasket, or worn camshaft lobes wolverine
My '88 xlt starts cold but after heating up for half hour,i turn it off,but it cranks again but doesn't start.
