Britain & the US have been friends since after the War of 1812. Things got alittle tense during the US Civil War, but things went back to normal after 1865 when the war ended. The two nations have been total friends during the whole of the 20th century.
The Second Continental Congress occured immediatly after the outbreak of the Revolutionary War. The Congress met to discuss the war against Great Britain.
