i have the same problem i checked with a friend at a local dealer this what he told me he checked for about week and found the heater core stoped up he said the way the 2.2 serculated it would cause the over heating prob under a pull about 3000 r.p.m. he said to bypass heater core at t.stat housing if this stops overheating prob replace or flush heater core
