The 325 in that year has a TDC (top dead center) sensor on the flywheel that may have been dislodged. There is an inspection plate under vehicle that you can use to determine if that is so.
try to get a new ignition rotor
have you replaced and or tested both coils? are you getting no spark on the intake and the exaust sides?
I had the same problem with a 93 Jag. I replaced the ignition module, coil, crank sensor, and even the ECU computer and I still did not have any spark. I was stumped and studying the wiring diagram I replaced the ECM Main Relay that was the problem, it fired right up. The ECM Main Relay on the 93 is located in the passenger side of the engine compartment on the firewall and it is the farthest outboard relay. Simple fix. I sure hope this helps someone out there
There is no ignition module on a 1987 5th ave. The spark control computer is on the air cleaner with a vacuum line hooked to it.
Just a suggestion. I would look into the condencer on the coil you will see it hanging on the right side if the coil.
Ignition module, cam senor, crank sensor or bad computer
sounds like we are having the same type of issue, I replaced ignition Module and coil pack, and still no spark the last thing to change is the Computer.
Common causes include spark plugs, ignition coil, fuel injector, wiring, internal engine problems, and computer malfunction.
Ignition module bad.
No spark can be as simple as a ecm fuse blown, a bad ignition switch, defective ignition module or a bad coil.
YES! the spark plug ignites the fuel mixture and causes combustion
Yes. If the ignition is malfunctioning, the spark plug will not ignite. A bad ignition module, a bad spark plug or a bad plug wire are the most common causes of that (besides a bad battery, of course).
the ignition control module could be the problem
No, spark plugs do not cause ignition in diesels. The fuel compression causes ignition
YES! the spark plug ignites the fuel mixture and causes combustion.
Check the ignition module in the distributor.
A BAD CRANK SENSOR WILL CAUSE NO SPARK AND NO PULSE SIGNAL TO FUEL INJECTORS a bad ignition module will cause no spark its located under the ignition coil trio pack
