One can treat tortuous esophagus, a condition where the esophagus gets misaligned or contorted in shape, by getting surgery to re-align the esophagus.
I'm asking the question.
Tortuous, swollen veins in the distal esophagus are called esophageal varices. They are caused by portal hypertension, or elevated pressure in the portal circulation. Esophageal varices can cause severe internal bleeding.Esophageal varices are varicose veins at the end of the esophagus.
The erosion of the esophagus is what causes the bleeding when you purge.
The climb up the mountain was tortuous and brutal.
it causes esophageal varicies; in other words bleeding in esophagus
Changes in the barrier of the stomach and esophagus.
The tortuous climb wore me out.
the two words are not connected; tortuous means suffering and pain.
The U.S. Marine Corps' obstacle course is touted as being quite tortuous. My dental exam was so tortuous that I actually had muscle cramps afterward.
The noun form for the adjective tortuous is tortuousness. Another noun form is torture.
Food stuck in the esophagus is blocking your airway. If your airway is blocked, no air can get into your lung, thus causing breathing difficulties.
A mountain road is tortuous. My singing is torturous. And when I violate a contract I am being tortious.
