The vagina is an empty tube; its walls fall together, not tightly but close together, with many folds. During sexual intercourse, the walls move apart to allow the penis to enter. Air can get trapped at the top of the vagina. When the penis is removed, the walls of the vagina get closer again. With air trapped, there may be the sound of escaping air (like expelling gas anally). However, air and ejaculate (fluid) stay in small folds of the walls of the vagina. This can cause a feeling like a bubble is inside you--kind of irritating and tickles all at the same time. Over a few hours to a day, the bubble feeling will go away as the ejaculate leaks out. Some women can also experience the vagina 'blowing bubbles' as the mix of air and fluid escape the vagina.
