Having too much play in the emergency brake handle in the middle of the console could lead to the brake light flickering. At least this was true for me.
The button on your dashboard
Probably the level of brake fluid in the reservoir is low. This is telling you the brakes need service.
Possible alternator problem
Defective battery or something is pulling power from the battery. Check the glove box light, interior lights, trunk light, hood light, brake lights, etc.
More than likely your alternator is getting ready to go out.
the brake fluid level is low in your master cylinder, add some brake fluid and the light will stay off
ive put in brake fuild oil toped that up checked the battery level all ok still the battery light and hand brake light are still on...
Loose connection? Bad ground? Weak battery?
Normally it means the alternator is failing.
Either the battery has a dead cell and needs replacing, or alternator is defective, loose or corroded battery cables, or something is draining the battery. Look for a courtesy, trunk, under hood, glove box light that is on. Also can be a defective brake light switch which causes the brake lights to stay on.
brake light and battery light is on
Park brake light - might mean the e-brake pedal is slightly moved down to initiate light. Battery light - means the alternator is bad or battery bad etc. Parking brake light also comes on when the brake fluid runs low... This happened on a 2003 kia Rio the next day the car died it is either because of a bad battery, alternator or alternator fuse
