How do you adjust the idle speed on a 1986 Chevy Celebrity?

There is a idle screw that you simply tighten to increase the idle speed or unscrew to reduce the idle speed. look under the hood at the throttle linkage.push the gas and let off of it. when you let off look where it comes to a rest. you will see it comes to a rest against a screw. if you want to idle it down just turn it counter clock-wise. i believe it is star shaped. so a regular screw driver wont work. hope that helps. this should be quick and easy 2 min job

Im looking to find out the carb high low an idle settings for a stihl chainsaw 009L?

High is 7/8 ths of a turn out from lightly seated. Low would be 1-1/4 turn out. This is ball park settings. The saw should run but will need fine tuning. Be careful not to turn the H screw in to far and lean out the mixture and damage the motor. The idle adjustment should rest, centered on the pointed end of the idle speed adj. screw. Once the H and L jets are adjusted then you want to turn the idle screw out as far as possible so the idle is set at the lowest smootly running speed you can achieve. http://store.chainsawr.com/
