Before you get to the Ketoacidosis stage, nothing will dehydrate you quicker than high blood sugar. Every liquid you take it will immediately be filtered and and not used properly. So, simple enough, keep a close eye on your sugars.
Usually when you are diabetic you drink a lot and when I say a lot I mean A LOT of water. I drink 30 to 40 bottles of water a day. You usually wouldn't dehydrate when you have Diabetes unless you would try but I don't see who would. Hope I helped (:
