The cause of this issue can be blown fuses in the car. If the fuses are not blown, there is a fault in the electrical system.
take out the controlpanel in armrest and clean and chek the relays
I have repaired both electric windows in my 1988 caravan. There is a white plastic track that the motor pulls and pushed and this is what opens and closes the window. It is located inside the door behind the door panels. Usually the track breaks, with age and you need to replace them.
These windows are referred to "witches windows" and are believed to ward off witches...
remove master switch from door. remove wire harness from back of switch. with a jumper wire brige wires until window raises. then buy new master switch and replace
Why do we paint wooden doors and Windows
Air locking windows are types of windows that do not allow air to pass through them. These are the types of windows that are normally used in aircrafts.
You don't list a year so I will give you a general solution. Many vehicles have a " body control module" or "illumination control module" when one of these malfunctions many systems will be affected.
Had the same problem on my 2000yr TD. The black wire was broke which runs between the door and A post which seems to be a common problem as its always flexing with the door opening and shutting, but I was suprised how many functions this affected!
Yes it is possible to change the locking system you want central locking you will need to rewire a feed from the fuse box to the door and buy the electric mechanism to operate the doors ie.. one for each door regarding the electric windows you can also do that to but it can prove to be costly as you need to remove the old system and buy the electric moter also re-wire a live and earth feed into the door you will need to possibly get the door panels and switches it then should fit straight in to the origanal slot personaly i wouldn't bother but give it a go if you want to be adventurous.
Put both windows down to their stops, then simulataneously bring both windows up to their stops. This should normalize the window function.
As both the front windows don't operate,it is unlikely to be motors, probably a separate fuse for the fronts and rears.A contact has told me that some astra-g convertables have a central window switch which lowers all four together, you may have a wire loose on this. Also, the front windows get a signal from the central locking,if locks or battery have been disconnected recently, you may need them reprogramming at a vauxhall dealer.
Replace fuse 33
i was able to do this by going to the fuse box under the bonnet and removing the power windows fuse, 25A 32v
Check the fuse that controls central locks; replace if defective.
if you hold the key in the lock position it will close the window also held in the open position it will open the window
remove all seats except ur own and change front quarter pannels and bonnet and boot to carbon fibre models remove all unnecessary auxilary items i.e. air conditioning central locking, electric windows (replace with wind up windows) this should help shave a few killograms off
in locking or closing the window file
