ask yourself this question is your tracker over heating? if you said yes you may need water pump, thermostat, and engine coolant :)
possibly the intake manifold sensor Check the fuel pump, and the injectors/ carburettor.
On a 1997 Ford Taurus : The 3.0 " Vulcan " V6 engine is an Over Head Valve / pushrod design engine The 3.0 " Duratec " V6 engine is a Dual Over Head Cam design engine
You could be low on coolant, a stuck thermostat, engine fan not coming on for starters. If still overheats, I would recommend taking it to a Subaru dealer.
Over heating can blow a head gasket
Could be several causes. Out of balance tire, or tires - Broken engine mount - Broken transmission mount, would be my first guesses.
I was looking at the 1997 Ford Escort owners manual ( for North America ) and it shows the only engine oferred was the 2.0 L SPI engine ( that is a Single Over Head Cam engine )
Just behind black bar over engine, you should see a yellow ring. pull up, it's the dipstick
1997 ford moterhome E350 with a V10 Triton engine My AC will not switch over to heat
The only engine from the factory in a 1997 Lincoln Continental is the 4.6 liter Dual Over Head Cam , V8 engine ( 281 cubic inches )
that's a bad sign of engine trouble.
