Electrical impulses from the engine control module (ECM)
A bad ingnition module, Are a bad computer.
In a gasoline fuel injected vehicle the pedal pulls on a cable attached to the engine's throttle, causing it to open. This allows air to be sucked into the engine. A sensor on the throttle causes the fuel injectors to spray fuel into the engine. The air and fuel mix, enter the combustion chamber and are ignited by a sparkplug. The engine speed then increases.
When all fuel injectors are stuck open, this generally means that the injectors are not getting the right voltage. You will need to not only check the voltage, but make sure the injectors are receiving the right signal.
it can have spark & fuel pressure ;But if the brains bad the injectors won't open up, To test it spray alittle start fluid and if it starts its the brain.....hope this helps.......
This is a device that measures the pressure of the fuel that is to be delivered to the fuel injectors. This measurement is used by the engine control computer to determine how long the injectors need to be driven open to deliver a specific amount of fuel.
Constant ground signal from the ECM, or injector could be faulty and stuck open.
Look on top of the engine at the inlet side of the fuel line from the fuel tanj and you will fine a Fuel Pressure Regulator. have it checked. It sound like it is stuck open. It is suppose to open and close to regulate the proper pressure to each of the fuel injectors.
Your injectors stopped working because either they have failed and need to be replaced or else there is inadequate fuel pressure to open them.
could be out of gas, maybe a blockage in the fuel line, are the injector getting power??? is there enough presure from the fuel pump it needs to be a minimum of 25 psi just to open the injectors , and the fuel rail could havea blockage as well
Fuel pressure from the fuel pump and a signal from the ECM (Engine Control Module) to open.
41 to 47 psi with pump running, engine off. The injectors are operated electrically.
First, how did you get my fuel injectors? You should pull the injectors out of the engine so you do not risk hydro locking it. It should be pretty easy to see the problem at this point. now either clean or replace the ones that are spraying all the time.
