Just about any change in normal diet can trigger a change in the chickens droppings.

The addition of extra fruit or plants to what they get regularly will make the droppings loose and brown/green. This is usually not cause for concern unless they start to act sickly. You can get over the counter medication for dysentery from the same place you buy your chicken feed. Watch for blood in the feces as this will signal a more serious problem.
