When metal rubs against metal, it means the pad on your brake pad is wearing down. This can be extremely dangerous. If you notice any kind of unusual sounds, get your car checked immediately.
The brake pads are probably worn. If not repaired, then the metal backer of the brake pads can cut into and damage the brake rotors. Noise is a sign to check the brakes as soon as possible.
Many brake pads have a "warning indicator" which will squeak when the brake pads start to get near the end of their life. This "warning indicator" is usually nothing more than a small metal tab that protrudes out from the side of the pads backing plate pointing towards the brake rotor. As the pad wears, the distance between the metal tab and the brake rotor begins to shorten until a point is reached where the metal tab actually comes in contact with the break rotor. This causes the squeak as a warning to the driver that the break pads are low.
Dust, unevenness.

"Could be many things, but from my experience, brake pads might be worn thru and are scraping metal to metal. If so brake pads need replacing. If brake pads are worn thru and not replaced, scoring damage could be accumulating on the brake disc." It could also be due to a warped or damaged router that would be the big metal disk. but if replacing your brake pads doesn't fix the problem replacing your router will more then likely take care of the noise.
