Most of the time it's caused by the window binding in the window channels, causing the motor to draw too much juice. Lubricate the window channels with spray silicone

Why do fuses blow?

Fuses usually blow because something powered by them draws too much power. -The solution is to fix the fault, NOT to fit a bigger fuse as I have seen some people do.

MDL vs ADL fuses?

The difference between MDL fuses and ADL fuses are that MDL fuses are a slow blow fuse with a long time lag. ADL fuses on the other hand, are normal blow fuses with a medium time lag.

Fuses for Dashboard and Power Windows keep on blowing on 2003 Ford Explorer?

Here is some futher info. regarding the problem I'm haveing with the my car. I own a 2003 Ford Explorer. A while back the driver side power window stopped working on the car. I assumed it was the motor that has gone bad, but suddenly about a month later the window started to work again. I lasted for a couple of months and then it stopped working again. It has now been about 9 months since the window completely stopped to work and suddenly one day when I started started the car the whole dashboard was out. Couldn't see anything; didn't know how fast I was driving, couldn't see how much gas was left, radio was out and all the power windows were out. I assumed a fuse had blown and change the fuse for the dashboard and power windows. It lasted for about a week and again the fuses blew for the dashboard and power windows, I changed the fuses again but as soon as I started the car they would blow again. I decided to take the car to the dealership. I spent 5hrs at the dealership and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. They told me to change out the burned out power window motor on the driver side and also change out the master power window switch, since they thought that could be what is causing the fuses to blow. I changed out the driver side power window motor, but decided not to change out the master power window switch since all the other windows are working just fine when the fuses don't blow. After I had changed the power window motor and again replaced the fuses the car started up fine and my dashboard was back to normal, radio was working, and all windows were working. Well, that lasted for about 1 day and as I was parking my car at the store the fuses blew again. Dashboard, radio, and power window are again not working. Anyone has any idea what could be causing this. I went ahead and went to the dealership and bought the master window switch, but has not changed it yet since I first want to check here and find out if anyone has had a similar problem or know what could be causing this. So I purchased the master power window switch. Also today when I looked at the fuse to the power window switch it was still fine but the fuse for the dashboard (cluster) is blown/blackened. So I'm not understanding why the power windows are not working. I did take out the master window switch a few minutes ago, and before I put in the new one I decide to replace the dashboard fuse to see if it was actually the master power window switch that was causing the problem, since it was not a cheap part. Well, the fuse blew right away so obviously it is nothing wrong with the master power window switch. I'm loosing it over here, please help.

What will happen if phase and neutral get reversed in power line and what action we have to take against it?

The breaker feeding the line will trip or if it is a fused circuit the line fuse will blow open. In regards to fuses protecting the line sometimes two line fuses will blow.

What makes the engine cooling fan operate and what causes it to blow out fuses?

a temperature sensor that detects when the car reaches a certain temperature before it overheats which kicks on the fan to cool the engine. the fan may not be grounded properly which causes the blowing of fuses to prevent a fire.

What would cause your fuse to blow when you turn on your lights on your 1993 Mazda 323 the fuse to the tail lights on dash lights blow?

I'm not sure I understand your question. I can't tell if you have one or two different fuses "blowing." The only thing which causes fuses to "blow" is a short circuit condition in the circuit which the fuse protects. IF you have two different circuits blowing fuses, then you have at least two short circuit faults. j3h

What would have caused your 40 amp fuse to blow?

What Causes Any Fuse to "Blow?"The cause is what fuses were invented and are used for:to detect and protect against SHORT CIRCUIT conditions, and /or CIRCUIT OVERLOAD conditions.

Why doesn't my car blow hot air?

Maybeyour water pipes are clogged, you need to flushthere is no power getting to your fan, check your fuses and wiring.

Why are fusses not good for short circuit currents?

A: FUSES are very good for short circuit protection. On the other hand a short over current may not make the fuse to blow since it requires heat caused by the current to blow. There are fuses that are meant to blow fast and some fuses are designed to blow slow depending on the circuit requirement
