What causes temperature change?

Temperature changes when two systems or structures of different temperature touch each other. Heat goes from the hotter system to the cooler system.

While Earth rotates and revolves around the sun, sunlight hits in either the northern or southern hemispheres. When the sun is hitting the Earth that creates it to be hot or have sunlight. But where ever the sun sun is not hitting it is cold or in winter.
