i had my alarm go off on me when i first got my 97 catera. if you use the key to unlock ur door....just turn ur key counter clockwise two three times it should turn off the alarm and u can drive...try that
That would be that there isn't enough gas getting to them
Remove the fuse. There is no fuse for the alarm. It would have to be disconnected from under the hood. see your local Chrysler dealer. The factory alarm is an integral part of the engine and body computers. It can not be disconnected.
Alarm is activated - faulty. Make sure the hazard switch has not been pushed. Take it to an alarm specialist or main dealer.
If you are indeed a Deputy as you say, I am sure your local Chrysler dealer would be more than happy to disconnect the alarm for you.
If you bought the jeep new from the dealer, then yes the alarms are identical. If the jeep was bought through a private seller you would have to ask them if they modified or changed out the alarm system.
because its old
I have two Catera's, a 2000 & 2001. I would like to sell one so I can purchase a pick up truck. I would drive a Catera to PA. if your interested. My email-jbgast@msn.com, phone-402-319-3366. Joe G. Omaha,Ne.
it would backfirer or bearly run
I would not install a smoke alarm, in the kitchen.
did u ever discover the problem?...My catera is having the same issue... Thx Try taking the cap off coolant tank, and running enging till all the air bubbles come out, as it sounds like you have a air lock in your cloolant lines. Water control Valve, very common on catera's. about $90 dealer only part. in my case it was my oil cooler, it had blowen a seal and was mixing my oil and coolant, the oil cooler is located in the valley of the engine, and installed would cost almost $1100.
I'm having this problem, myself. Here's what I've discovered so far. Don't pull or cut any wires. Any interruption in the alarm's electrical sytem will prevent your car from starting, period. A Subaru dealer can disable the alarm with a remote device that delivers a signal to the alarm system. My dealer wants to charge me a hundred bucks for the service. Once the alarm has been disabled, it will remain that way until you disconnect the battery for any reason. When you reconnect the battery, the alarm system reverts to default mode--in other words, ON. I'm still working on this. If I learn anything more, I'll add it.
head gasket!
