something else must be running when the car is off besides the clock.
bad ignition switch, bad battery, bad alternator/regulator,
A car battery in any car would drain due to a short in the electrical system.
Waiting for the battery to drain completely to extend battery life.
For a battery to "Drain" you MUST have a short somewhere or the "Glovebox" or "Trunk" light is staying on etc. etc. Battery's don't just "Drain" on there own ;-) TommyTrouble
Defective alternator or voltage regulator. Also possibly the battery is defective with a dead cell.
Dead cell in battery, a light is on somewhere on the vehicle, or a relay is stuck.
If no light is on and no relay is stuck then the battery has a dead cell and needs replacing.
Dead cell in the battery itself or something is on pulling power from the battery. A light somewhere or a stuck relay.
that happen to me. everyday in the morning the battery was dead until i found out it was the relay for the fuel pump, it was bad and it causes to leave the fuel pump on all night. maybe your is doing the same thing.
Battery drain would depend on what else is on, for example headlights, courtesy lights, glove box light etcetra. If there is nothing electrical on then there should be no drain.
Could be a shorted wire, or bad battery.
Any electrical system on the vehicle can cause a battery to drain completely if there is a short. To trace the short, remove all fuses from the interior fuse panel, and see if the battery drains. Install the fuses one by one until you locate which fuse causes the battery to drain. With the system isolated, you can now troubleshoot the short. Additionally.. You can also first by checking all the lights of the car. Glove box light, under hood light, trunk light, interior lights. Every light basicly. A light is the easiest to find, and to fix if its the problem. Good luck
