Tooth decay (dental caries) is caused by bacteria in plaque on your teeth. When you eat sugars (fermentable carbohydrates) the bacteria process it, and release their by product of lactic acid which eats away at the tooth. Eventually, this can cause the surface to "cavitate" (makes a hole in the tooth), which would require a filling to restore.
To prevent decay:
1) brush and floss - (get rid of the bacteria/plaque)
2) avoid or reduce sugars - (they can't produce the acid without the sugar)
3) make the tooth more resistant - (use fluoride, sealant in any grooves likely to develop decay)
Yes. It is caused by eating sweet/sticky foood and NOT BRUSHING TEETH PROPERLY.
no it can not
All sodas conatain sugar which is very bad for the teeth. However, I believe that it is acid wear that is the problem here. Soda cantains a certain acid and that is what can cause tooth enamel to rot. I am not a dentist, however I do my research.
This happens when your tooth has had a hard impact which will kill the nerves and forcing it to rot.
it will get its tooth in to a smelly discovery. it will lose some af its "SKIN".it will rot the tooth.
All acidic liquids can rot tooth enamel.
It doesnt rot teeth but disolves the enamel, enabling food sugars to rot the tooth much faster.
Tooth decay is the process that results in a cavity (dental caries). It occurs when bacteria in your mouth make acids that eat away at a tooth. If not treated, tooth decay can cause pain, infection, and tooth loss. The mixture of bacteria and acids make a sticky substance called plaque which if not treated, can cause your tooth to rot or turn into a yellowish colour.
Bacteria, mold, and yeasts can cause food to rot.
I'm thinking tooth paste will dry out. I don't think it can rot, I think you would be hard pressed to find a bacteria that can live in the base(opposite of acid) that tooth paste is.
