Cracked radiator end caps since the tranny fluid runs goes threw the caps for cooling that is the only way tranny fluid can get in the radiator
transmission cooler
Bad seal? Bad cooling line to radiator?
This is transmission fluid. The leak is at the transmission cooler which may be part of the radiator.
Check coolant in radiator could be getting mixed with transmission fluid due to a bad radiator cooling chamber Check the modulator could be getting burned as fuel Check for leak
I would say its a bad radiator are you sure its tranny fluid and not motor oil, in which case you could have a blown head gasket? **correct answer** there should be a transmission cooler that allows transmission fluid to flow through your rad at some point, these lines, when they break, will let transmission fluid into your rad, it also lets coolant into the transmission, which can destroy your transmission.
Most Likely you have a leak from the transmission cooling tank on your radiator to the antifreeze portion of the radiator. Jeff
if you have an automatic transmission there should be cooling lines going to the radiator to cool the transmission fluid the lines could be leaking or the tank could be leaking
transmission leak in reverse only
The automatic transmission oil cooler is built into the radiator. If the oil cooler developes a leak the oil mixes with the engine coolant.
It can leak from the front seal, or the cooling lines that run to the radiator. Or it could leak from a cracked case.
From the transmission? No? But antifreeze & transmission fluid can mix. Your transmission uses a small portion of the radiator as a transmission cooler, normally at the very bottom or side. In very rare instances, this cooler can develop a leak and allow transmission fluid and antifreeze to mix together. The only fix is to replace the radiator.
Unless your radiator has a leak, the radiator fluid stays in the radiator.
