transmission cooler
You have transmission fluid lines that go to the radiator/front for cooling you must have a leak there
Front of the engine right behind the radiator.
in the dipstick tube at the front of the engine, just behind the radiator.
Your transmission pan isn't large enough to cool the transmission fluid like the oil pan, so there is a transmission cooler that looks like a miniture radiator that is typically located in front of the radiator.
In the front of the engine at the bottom in front of the radiator passanger side
Driver'side Front of Manual Transmission. there is a plug marked "Oil". It faces towards the radiator, remove this plug and fill trans from there.
upper line on radiator connects to transmission front
TJ Magna....remove the air intake duct (between radiator and air filter) there is a white dipstick on the front side of the trans with ATF on it (automatic transmission fluid) pull the dipstick to check fluid level
It can leak from the front seal, or the cooling lines that run to the radiator. Or it could leak from a cracked case.
A transmission flush is done by removing the two transmission lines that go into the radiatior. Then the machine is filled with fluid and the car is started. The front pump in the transmission turns which causes the fluid to be pushed thru the system. Once the old fluid has been evacuated the car is turned off and the transmission lines are reconnected to the radiator. There is nothing in the flush procedure that can effect the axle seals. The are rubber with a small wire spring that causes them to hold their shape. Only high heat, old age or a chemical on them would cause wear and allowing failure.
a bad engine and transmission mount 1 in the rear near the fire wall or 1 in front near the radiator.
You probably have a leak in the hose/line that takes your transmission fluid to the cooler (in the radiator). Look for the small tubes/hoses that run from the engine to the side of the radiator; the leak is probably in the area where the metal tube meets the rubber hose. Good luck!
