It heats up the individual atoms, causing them to move about more rapidly. This changes the positioning, with solids having atoms structured and close together and gases having atoms fly all over the place.
When you boil something, for instance water, It is changing from a liquid to a gas/vapor. Hope this helped! :)
Evaporation is the change of state that is closely related to boiling.
This change related to boiling is vaporization.
Vaporization occur at the surface of a heated liquid.
A liquid boil.
Evaporation
Physical ... it's only a state change. Cool it and it reverts to its old condition.
The changes of state that happen during distillation are: Liquid to a gas and gas to a liquid
During boiling of water, water changes its state from liquid to gas due to a change in temperature. Therefore it is a physical change.
NO!!! Boiling point is the temperature when a liquid changes to a gas. Melting point is the temperature when a solid changes to a liquid. Remember For rising temperatures It melts then boils For falling temperatures It condenses then freezes. Melting/Freezing point is the same temperature for change of state solid/liquid Boiling/Condensing point is the same temperature for change of state liquid/gas
Boiling point is a physical property. This is because when an element boils, it changes its state of matter, which is a physical change.
Evaporation A+...
The only changes of state in pure boiling water is from liquid to gas.
The boiling point of a substance is the temperature at which it changes from liquid state to gaseous or vapor state.
Boiling
Its boiling point.
It is a change of state. Called boiling.
boiling sublimation freezing melting condensation
A phasechange is occured in water molecules, from liquid state to gaseous state.
Because it physically changes from a liquid state to a gaseous state.
Boiling, the term for that is boiling point.
I am not sure but may be it is because none of the substances have a fixed boiling point. The substance starts changing its state from liquid to gas before the mentioned boiling point . For example Boiling point of H2O is 100.but it change it changes its state before it.Therefore there are boiling range not boiling point.
Physical ... it's only a state change. Cool it and it reverts to its old condition.
