The process known as metamorphosis oftens goes from an egg or eggsac to a larval stage, to a pupa, then finally an adult.
The pupa stage of butterfly species is known as a chrysalis, whereas moths form cocoons.
1. Adult frogs reproduce sexually.
2. Eggs are fertilized OUTSIDE of the female's body.
3. Swimming tadpoles hatch from eggs.
4. Hind legs develop.
5. Front legs develop.
6. Tail is absorbed, & development is completed.
It is called METAMORPHOSIS. (these are for all those Science people..... haha) :) hope this was helpful. :)
Metamorphosis.
In hemimetabolous, there is a gradual change to the adult instar, and Larva resembles the adult. While in holometabolous, the larva is quite unlike the adult, and the intervening stage is called "pupal instar"
Metamorphosis.
An adult butterfly is called just that. In the larva stage it is called a caterpillar. The process is called metamorphosis.
There is no such thing as an "adult larva" , a larva is always immature ( a "baby"). If you mean "how is a sponge larva different from and adult sponge?" The answer is: 1. The larva is almost microscopic. You can't really see it with your bare eye. 2. the larva swims around. an Adult sponge stays attached to a surface for its lifetime and can't swim
Like other insects, bees go through four stages in their life: # Egg # Larva # Pupa # Adult

Hemimetabolous insects have a gradual change from larva to adult and the larva resembles the adult it will become. Holometabgolous insects have a pupal instar and the larva does not resemble the adult.
The offspring go through stages. After hatching they are called larva. The larva then changes (metamorphose) into a pupa which in turn becomes an adult mosquito.
The ant goes from egg to larva, small larva to larger larva, larva to pupa, pupa to adult. The pupa to adult stage is considered the metamorphosis.
Dosen't anyone know? It hatches into a larva , then a pupa, then finally an adult mosquito! Try not to get bitten!
it is from egg to larva , larva to pupa and to the adult (beetle)
the larva is called the Planula
