whereas, the moons surface does not change untill, an asteroid, or meteorite, would disturb it. and/or humans return to the moon.

Which motion causes moon changes?

The motion of the Moon orbiting the Earth, and the Earth and the Moon both orbiting the Sun, constantly alters the appearance of the sunlight striking the Moon's surface, as viewed from Earth. This changes in light and shadow gives the different phrases of the Moon.

What are the changes in the moons appearance called?

The changes in the moon's appearance are called lunar phases. They occur because of the moon's position relative to the sun and Earth, resulting in different amounts of the moon's illuminated surface visible from Earth.

Can you explain why the moon's appearance changes each night?

The moon's appearance changes each night because of its orbit around the Earth. As the moon moves, the amount of sunlight that reflects off its surface changes, causing different portions of the moon to be visible from Earth. This creates the different phases of the moon that we see throughout the month.

Can you run faster on the moon?

Yes, you can run faster on the moon because the moon's gravitational pull is weaker than Earth's. This means you would weigh less on the moon and could move more easily. However, it is important to note that the moon's surface is rocky and uneven, which can affect your running speed.

Why the moon is lit up?

The moon is lit by sunlight just like the earth. Because of it's rotation relative to the earth, only one face of it is visible to people on earth. Thus, the expression, "the dark side of the moon". When the Earth is between the Sun and the moon, it is more or less invisible, since no direct light is striking it. We call this period of a few days a "new moon".

How are the phases of the moon created?

The phases of the moon are created by the relative positions of the moon, Earth, and sun. As the moon orbits Earth, the amount of sunlight reflecting off its surface changes, creating the different phases such as new moon, full moon, and crescent moon. These changes occur as we see different portions of the illuminated side of the moon from Earth throughout its orbit.

What is the daily changes of the moon's appearance called?

The daily changes of the moon's appearance are called moon phases. This cycle is caused by the changing positions of the Earth, moon, and sun, resulting in varying amounts of sunlight reaching the moon's surface.

What is the moon and why does it appear to change shape?

The Moon is rocky body in orbit round the Earth. Its appearance changes nightly because as it orbits the Earth the amount of its surface we can see illuminated by the Sun changes because of our angle of view.

What makes the moon have different shapes?

The different shapes of the moon are caused by its position relative to the Earth and the Sun. As the moon orbits the Earth, the amount of sunlight that reflects off its surface changes, creating the different phases we see from Earth.

Would the earth spin faster or slower if their was no moon?

The Earth's rotation rate would remain fairly constant if there was no moon to affect it. The moon plays a role in slowing down Earth's rotation over very long periods of time due to tidal forces. Without the moon, the Earth's rotation would not experience significant changes in speed.

What changes take place in the visible shape of the moon from day to day?

The visible shape of the moon changes from day to day due to its different positions in orbit relative to the Earth and the Sun. This results in the different phases of the moon, such as new moon, crescent, half moon, gibbous, and full moon. The changing illumination of the moon's surface creates these distinct shapes that we observe from Earth.

What is the shape of the moon is it cool or hot?

The moon like Earth is basically a globe or ball. it is cold except for the changes in temperature on the surface caused by the sun.
