So-- as I understand it; the VOP returns you to jail to serve out the unexpired 1.5 year term of your original sentence. In addition you were given an additional 2 year sentence for the 'contraband' charge - both sentences to run concurrently. The original sentence expires in 1.5 years leaving the added contraband charge (which runs concurrently) only an additional 6 months to run after that. QUESTION: Why do you want have the contraband charge severed from the original sentence? It only gives you 6 more months in jail (for which you should be able to earn some "good" time while you're "in" - if you behave yourself). What's the point?
