Chasmosaurus lived in western North America during the late Cretaceous. At the time, the area was a coastal floodplain with rivers and swamps. There were wet and dry seasons. Plants included conifers, such as Sequoia, cycads, ferns, ginkgoes, horsetails, and flowering plants such as palm trees and primitive grasses.
Ankylosaurus lived in Montana, Wyoming, and Alberta between 66.5 and 65.5 million years ago. Back then, that area was a coastal floodplain with a humid, subtropical climate that had distinct wet and dry seasons. Native plants included conifers, cycads, ferns, ginkgoes, horsetails, as well as early angiosperms (flowering plants) such as palms and primitive grasses.
