endorphins
Endorphins are the chemicals released in your body during exercise that help improve mood and reduce pain sensations, creating a sense of well-being and happiness.
There are several theories as to what chemicals are responsible for the relaxing effect sometimes felt during exercise. Neurotransmitters such as serotonin and dopamine may play a role, as may anandamide (which binds to cannabinoid receptors) and endorphins (which binds to opioid receptors).
It can be because people love that feelnig of being energized and accomplishing things. This is usuall ynever a bad thing unless one over trains, which can be detrimental as opposed to beneficial.
Chemicals released by neurons are called neurotransmitters
During exercise, the body releases several key chemicals, including endorphins, which are natural painkillers that promote feelings of happiness and reduce stress. Additionally, adrenaline (epinephrine) is released, increasing heart rate and energy availability. Other beneficial chemicals include serotonin and dopamine, which enhance mood and motivation. Together, these substances contribute to the so-called "runner's high" and improve overall mental well-being.
