It is commonly believed that Jesus was about 12 when he remained in the city of Jerusalem at the temple while his parents left to return to their home. After the first day of travel, in the evening, Mary and Joseph discovered that Jesus was not with the friends they thought he was traveling beside.
According to Luke 2:41-50 (esp. verse 42), Jesus was 12 years old.
Jerusalem- Luke 2:42-48
12
Jesus was 12 years old when his parents lost him during their pilgrimage to Jerusalem. They found him discussing and listening to the teachers in the temple.
There is no record what so ever of Jesus father Joseph after Jesus gets lost in the temple at the age of 12. However, spiritually speaking, God the Father is His Father and Our Father for eternity.
After Jesus was 12 years, he got lost in the temple for three days.
Jesus got baptized from John the Baptist at age 12
No Jesus was not gambling at the Temple at age 12. Luke 2: 41-50 tells us that every year Joseph and Mary and Jesus would travel to Jerusalem for the Passover. When Jesus was there at age 12, His parents missed Him in their company on the way home to Nazareth. Returning to Jerusalem they found Jesus in the Temple, listening to and asking questions of the teachers there. Jesus even at age 12 would not gamble and there was no gambling in the temple.
Jesus set an outstanding example in showing appreciation for spiritual gatherings. Luke 2:42, 46 says that at the young age of 12, he demonstrated his love for God's house in Jerusalem. His parents lost track of him but eventually found him discussing God's Word with teachers in the temple. In response to his parents' concern, Jesus respectfully asked: "Did you not know that I must be in the house of my Father?" (Luke 2:49)

No! It just was not important to the purpose of God that these years should be written aboutMore information:The Gospels do not contain any information about Jesus from the time he was about 12, when he became separated from his parents while on a visit to Jerusalem, until he was about 30, and began his ministry with baptism by John the Baptist. These are sometimes called "the lost years," but that does not mean that Jesus himself was lost in any sense.

"A Mystery." Nobody knows.
The bible does not record any age of Jesus, when he started teaching. He was asking questions to the priests of the temple at 12 years. But the historians say that Jesus taught from 30 years to 33 and a half years of age.
